🎉 Utica Center for Development accepting applications for 2025 Memorial Day and 4th of July parades. - Community

The Utica Center for Development is accepting applications. It’s your chance to get your business, local sports team, or other cause in front of the people of our communities. This year’s Memorial Day parade is held on May 26 at 10 AM. The July 4th parade is held on July 4th at 10 AM.

🥊 This amateur boxer and Utica teacher is heading to the 2025 National Golden Gloves - Local Sports

Katrina Scalzo, an Utica elementary teacher and amateur boxer, is heading to Tulsa. At 143 pounds, Scalzo has racked up multiple titles, including the Buffalo Golden Gloves champion. The 2025 National Golden Gloves Championship is held in Tulsa, OK, from May 12 to 17.

🚒 Rescue Heroes Summer Daycamp taking applications for the 2025 season - Good News

Female students, from 14 to 17, can apply to learn about careers and volunteer opportunities as first responders. Hosted by the Herkimer-Fulton-Hamilton-Otsego BOCES, students work with police, paramedics, fire personnel, and 911 dispatchers to learn and experience the day-to-day of the job. The camp runs from July 21 to 25 from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM.

💊 Oneida County Health Department will replace expired Narcan for local businesses and organizations - Local Government

Businesses and organizations that received Naloxone kits as part of the 2022 Save-a-Life campaign can get free replacements for expired or close-to-expiration Narcan kits. The Oneida County Opiod Task Force handed out Narcan kits to 840 homes, 836 businesses, and stocked over 230 Narcan cabinets across the county.
